Project in the Works

Once the plan has been established, this phase is the day-to-day work of the project integrating the different elements of the project plan.

The presenter will:

  • Be an active participant in the project at all times and be in the room at all times.
  • Act as a role model by valuing diversity of thought and ideas, and exhibiting curiosity, wonder, risk-taking and a willingness to learn along with the project participants.
  • Facilitate the collection of permissions (ie. parental consent, media release forms, vulnerable sector checks, copyright, etc.)
  • Assume responsibility for project management and ensure a safe environment.

The artist will:

  • Arrive at the school/community or facility prior to the designated activity to set up.
  • Focus on the creative process rather than the end product or technical expertise.
  • Adhere to facility rules and regulations regarding accessibility and safety.
  • Model collaboration and inclusiveness by working towards a shared goal and valuing the perspectives and contributions of others
  • Develop inquisitiveness by demonstrating positive commitment to the exploration of questions and asking to make connections, construct meaning and reflect critically on their work.
  • Empower the community to take an active role in the project by asking them to make choices and take responsibility for their own learning.
  • Open doorways to the arts by sharing the resources and career paths available to artists.
  • Comply with all reporting and documentation requirements.
